Robbie Keane is expected to make a loan switch to Aston Villa having started training with the midlands' club this week.

The 31-year-old Irishman is currently on the books of American side LA Galaxy, who he joined in August of last year.

The former Tottenham, Leeds, Wolves and Liverpool striker last played a competitive Premier League game in May 2011 while on loan at West Ham.
